Vladimir Putin made a commitment to continue building up Russia's military capability and equipping the armed forces with all the necessary equipment for their operation in Ukraine during a meeting with senior military commanders on December 21.

In light of the attack against Ukraine and the conflict with the West, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated on Wednesday that he will continue to build up his military capabilities, especially the "combat readiness" of his nuclear forces.

"The size of our armed forces and their fighting prowess are both constantly growing. And this procedure will undoubtedly be developed, "During a meeting with senior army commanders, Putin remarked.

The nuclear triad—missiles launched from flying planes, navigational submarines, and land-based silos—will continue to be improved and kept at a combat-ready state, it was stated.

The new Zircon missile, which has no counterpart in the world, will be installed on the "Admiral Gorshkov" ship in early January, according to Putin.

He claims that the crisis, which started 10 months ago, is a "shared tragedy" for which Russia is not to blame. "Of course, what occurs is tragic. a collective catastrophe. However, it is not a result of our strategy; rather, it is a result of foreign countries' policies, "said Putin.

Sergei Shoigu, the Minister of Defense of Russia, stated that Russian troops were engaged in combat in Ukraine against the "combined Western military forces. One of the top priorities will be to "continue the special operation [in Ukraine] until it has finished all of its tasks, "Shoigu stated.

The Russian Defense Minister increased the size of his army to 1.5 million troops and raised the eligibility age for military duty because he believed it was "essential." The 1.15 million soldier goal announced by Putin in August will be increased by 350,000 with this troop surge.

"Both the Berdyansk and Mariupol ports are fully functional. There will be bases set up for support ships, emergency rescue teams, and ship maintenance crews" It said.

Putin stated most recently that despite the numerous western sanctions, Moscow is not experiencing any financial difficulties in order to fund its military campaign. "We have no financial restrictions of any kind. The nation and the government give the army all they ask for. I mean, everything!
