Ben Shalom, the promoter, predicts Chris Eubank Jr. will exercise his right to a rematch with Liam Smith.

Last month in Manchester, Smith easily dispatched a dazed Eubank, and after the fight, both participants considered running once more.

The one-sided defeat, however, raised concerns that Eubank might not be interested in another chance to compete against Smith and might possibly decide to retire from the sport at the age of 33. Smith now believes that he has more high-profile choices.

Eubank's side has also talked about the potential that a supposed elbow strike that Smith has thrown out could have made the difference before the last flurry, which could have prompted Eubank to schedule a second fight.

According to Shalom, who spoke to Sky Sports, "We are getting all the signals that they are going to be shot." "We are aware of Chris' strong desire to resume fighting. Ultimately, Liam wants the biggest names and the biggest nights because his pride has been wounded and he absolutely wants a rematch, according to what I have heard.

He seeks Golovkin. He is in Eubank's hands, and until enough time has passed and ideally he wants the rematch, we can't really see past that. There is not yet a better choice for Eubank Jr. Shalom continued, "A choice must be made in the upcoming weeks. We are officially anticipating it in writing from Wasserman, he added.

There is a chance if we can make sure the event happens close enough to the final game of the season, which I believe is the weekend of (May) 21. The end of May, if we could make it to Anfield.
