In a match for the Euro 2024 qualifiers on Sunday, Cristiano Ronaldo, the striker for the Portugal team, proved why he is becoming more and more important by scoring twice against the Luxembourg team.

The former striker for Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus scored the first goal for Group J. Ronaldo started the scoring for the Portuguese team before the ten-minute mark by merely pushing a ball that was moving across the area into the net.

Ronaldo and Portugal have achieved success.

The Portuguese sensation Cristiano Ronaldo was once again a leader for his side despite a below-average performance. He set the tone for the scoring at minute 9 and added another goal at minute 31 to finish his sports career with 122 goals for his nation. In a reference to the times he nods off in that position, the 38-year-old singer adopted a new celebratory pose in which he reclines back and places his hands on his chest.

The remaining four goals were scored by teammates Joo Félix, Bernardo Silva, Otavio, and Rafael Leao in addition to Cristiano Ronaldo (18', 77', and 88'). Portugal is now in top place in Group J with six points after two wins and ten goals in their favour.

Note that in his last three games, Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 5 goals, including 2 free throws. He also holds the record for both games played (198) and goals scored (122) in national team football history.
