Liverpool seals a late 2-1 win at Newcastle United with Darwin Nunez's heroics as the Reds extend their unbeaten record in the Premier League this season. The Uruguayan forward displayed his striking prowess, scoring two crucial goals in just 13 minutes to help Liverpool complete an astonishing comeback.

Newcastle took the lead in the 25th minute through Anthony Gordon, who capitalized on a mistake by Trent Alexander-Arnold. Liverpool's task became even more difficult when Virgil van Dijk was shown a red card for fouling Alexander Isak as the last defender in the 28th minute.

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson made a sensational save to deny Miguel Almiron's powerful shot from hitting the woodwork shortly after Newcastle's goal. Almiron also hit the post in the second half as Liverpool struggled to create chances following Van Dijk's dismissal.

However, Nunez changed the game's dynamics when he came on as a substitute. He scored his first goal with nine minutes remaining, picking up a deflection off Sven Botman and firing a precise low finish past Nick Pope. In the dying minutes of the match, Nunez struck again after a mistake by Bruno Guimaraes, with Mohamed Salah providing the assist.

Van Dijk was unhappy with the referee's decision to send him off and protested that he had not fouled Isak, adding to Liverpool's frustration of falling behind. Gordon caused problems for Alexander-Arnold throughout the match, tormenting him with his dribbles and taking advantage of a defensive error to score.

Newcastle had several missed chances before Nunez's introduction, with Almiron also failing to convert a good opportunity. Substitute Sean Longstaff came close to restoring Newcastle's lead, but Alisson made a crucial save.

Liverpool's next match is against Aston Villa, while Newcastle will look to bounce back from their defeat when they face Brighton & Hove Albion.

Nunez's goals saved Liverpool from defeat against Newcastle, as they continued their unbeaten run in the Premier League. The match started off challenging for Liverpool, with Alexander-Arnold receiving an early booking and risking another yellow card soon after.

Like their previous match against Bournemouth, Liverpool conceded an early goal. However, Newcastle seemed poised to finally secure a victory against Liverpool, ending a winless streak that dates back to December 2015.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp admitted that his team didn't start the game well but felt that something was possible at halftime. He expressed his surprise and joy at the team's comeback, especially considering they were playing with 10 men at St James' Park.

Both Klopp and Newcastle manager Eddie Howe had differing opinions on the red card decisions involving Alexander-Arnold and Van Dijk. Klopp argued that Van Dijk's foul on Isak did not involve active contact, while Howe believed both players should have been sent off.

Nunez's performance was praised by Klopp, who acknowledged the striker's frustration at starting on the bench. Klopp emphasized the importance of every player in the team and the need for time to develop a new playing style with new key players. Nunez's two goals were crucial for the team, and Klopp enjoyed the moment of victory.
