LANCASTER, ENGLAND: The brother of former NFL player Aqib Talib is wanted by Lancaster cops in connection with a shooting that took place after an argument at a youth football game in Texas. The shooting left the team's coach dead, as revealed by authorities.
A football match for children under 9 turned into a tragedy after Aqib Talib's brother, identified as Yaqub Salik Talib, shot dead the coach where his 9-year-old son was also. TMZ reported that the former NFL player was too present at the time of the incident, which occurred on Saturday August 13. The shooting took place at Lancaster Community Park in southeast Dallas County.
According to the press release shared by Lancaster Police, gunfire erupted after an argument turned physical between the opposing coaches. TMZ reported video of the shooting showing a man donning a black hoodie and hat pulling out a gun and shooting. The parents can be heard screaming in the clip while talking to match officials before the fight broke out on the pitch.

The publication said Lancaster PD identified the suspect as Yaqub. Cops revealed that there was an active warrant for his arrest. Yaqub was charged with murder. A photo of him was shared by cops asking people to help catch him.
Aqib Talib was present at the time of the incident. His attorney told TMZ, "Aqib was present when this unfortunate incident happened and is very upset and devastated by this terrible loss of life," adding, "He wishes to convey his condolences to the victim's family and to all those who witnessed this unfortunate tragedy. Aqib has not been named by Lancaster Police as a person of interest.
The former NFL player hung up his boots in 2020 after playing 15 years in the league. He won Super Bowl 50 with the Denver Broncos. Previously, he played with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams. Aqib currently works as a commentator for Fox Sports.
