The 'Euphoria' star Sydney Sweeney responded after backlash

The 'Euphoria' star Sydney Sweeney responded Saturday to an online response over a photo she shared from the Saturday party including an unidentified man wearing a blue lives matter flag shirt.

'This is wild': Sydney Sweeney slams 'absurd' claims her mother's hoedown-inspired 60th birthday party was a 'political statement' after fans accused her family of being right-wing.

The 24-year-old Euphoria star had shared snaps from the themed party on her Instagram account early Saturday morning, one of which showed a male attendee wearing what appeared to be a Blue Lives Matter t-shirt.

Guys, this is crazy. An innocent celebration for my mother's 60th birthday has become an absurd political statement, which was not the intention," the Euphoria star wrote in a statement shared on Twitter.

The "Euphoria" star posted the photos from the celebration earlier on Saturday. "No better strategy for complimenting my momma than a surprise hoedown," she captioned the post, in which the ensuing photo depicts herself, her mother and a couple of others around a birthday cake. A man can be clearly tracked down in the background with the MAGA-auxiliary outerwear. In disengaged photos posted by her kin, Trent, members are depicted in MAGA parody covers that read: "Make Sixty Great Again."

It didn't take long to cause a commotion at the image, with Twitter users using Sweeney's own memed cuts from "Euphoria" to make fun of the whereabouts of her family during the January 6 mobs. Others stepped in to safeguard the entertainer, expressing, "Has the idea entered anybody's thoughts that it's conceivable Sydney Sweeney unequivocally can't help contradicting the legislative issues of her folks, very much like a tremendous extent of Millennials/Gen Z? She isn't answerable for her family's thoughts any longer than you are. Don't bother her."

Some were left disappointed by the reaction, calling the decision to post the photographs where the super traditional and against Black Lives Matter symbolism is noticeable an "absurd political statement" all by itself.
