Florida authorities arrested champion boxer Gervonta Davis of Baltimore on suspicion of domestic violence charges.

The Gervonta Davis scandal just broke. The Broward County (Florida) Sheriff's Office reported that the boxer was taken into custody on one count of "domestic violence with assault." No additional information is available because the incidents took place on Tuesday night in the United States. It has been stated that the boxer will remain in jail until this Wednesday morning in the United States, when a trial is held, as the photo that the police took of him when he was arrested has currently been leaked. No bail has been established for his release as of yet.

Gervonta's career ambitions are seriously questioned in light of this altercation. After parting ways with Mayweather Promotions, the fighter took the initiative and hired a manager of his own. The first thing he did was agree to take on a challenging opponent, like Ryan Garcia on April 15. He had intended to fight Héctor Garca, the super featherweight world champion, on January 7 in Washington. Twelve light rounds of the bout are planned. In the accident, which involved four individuals, including a pregnant woman, the boxer is suspected of evading police. Gervonta is accused with 14 crimes. Aside from that, he has also gone through two less serious assault trials, from which he was exonerated. In one of them, he was seen punching his ex-girlfriend when they were playing basketball in February 2020.
