According to the NFL Network on Wednesday, offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr. has agreed to a four-year, $64.1 million deal with the Cincinnati Bengals. A $31 million signing bonus, a new high for an offensive lineman, is part of the agreement.

Brown's lone Super Bowl parade jersey ranks among the top five. He and other Chiefs offensive linemen donned plain T-shirts with the words "0 Sacks" to symbolise the fact that against Philly's league-best defensive line, quarterback Patrick Mahomes failed. was sacked in Super Bowl LVII. Brown is a top tackle in the league, but he is not bound by a long-term deal, which is another factor. In an effort to keep Brown and RT Andrew Wylie, the Chiefs are expected to franchise-tag the 26-year-old. However, they must also pay Brown if they want him to stay on their roster for the upcoming season.

Before joining the Chiefs, Brown was chosen by the Baltimore Ravens in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft, making him the ninth offensive tackle chosen that year. Despite starting just 11 games in his debut season (regular season plus playoffs), Brown never missed a game while playing for the Ravens (2018–20).

How does this decision affect the Bengals?

The Bengals are known for taking the safe route, but they recently took a risk. In addition to keeping all of their starters and the coaching staff, they improved their offensive line last year and added a fantastic amount of protection.

They have acquired a significant asset that will help keep quarterback Joe Burrow safe by signing Orlando Brown Jr., who is perhaps the best tackle available, for just $16 million a season. This is especially true considering all of his outstanding receivers are still under contract.

The Bengals gain a lot from the transaction as a result of Orlando Brown's selection of left tackle being one of the remaining high-level free agents still available. Yet, by deciding to join the Bengals, he gave them the ability to build on their accomplishments from the previous season and create a potent offensive line.

In short, the Bengals' choice to add Orlando Brown to their offensive line is a significant one that shows how dedicated they are to Burrow and the team's success.
