Olivia Wilde wins her first custody fight when Jason Sudeikis' aggressive letters explode.

Olivia Wilde won the first part of her custody battle over the two children she shares with ex-fiancé Jason Sudeikis. Sudeikis claim that the children live in Brooklyn, New York, was denied and the judge ruled their home state to be California, according to documents seen by Page Six. The 38-year-old actress and director also attacked Sudeikis, accusing him of "threatening" her by hosting her served with legal papers on stage in Las Vegas earlier this year.

The documents were presented to Wilde while she was promoting her upcoming film Don't Worry Darling, which stars her current partner Harry Styles, at CinemaCon in April.

Footage showed the director looking surprised after she opened the large brown envelope that said "Personal and Confidential" after it was passed onstage.

Wilde said "The fact that Jason embarrassed me professionally and went public with our personal feud in this way is completely against the best interests of our children." Following the incident at CinemaCon, Sudeikis representatives confirmed that the documents were related to the jurisdiction of the couple's children, but said the actor had no prior knowledge of how to deliver them.

Sudeikis said in court documents that he was "deeply sorry that the incident ruined her special moment."

The family previously divided their time between Los Angeles, New York and London, due to Sudeikis and Wilde's busy work schedules. Wilde currently lives in Los Angeles with both children and, according to court documents, plans to "move with the children to London after the school closes in 2023." Wilde and Sudeikis first met on Saturday Night Live after party and have been together for about 10 years. They were previously engaged.

They are the parents of eight-year-old Otis Alexander and five-year-old Daisy Josephine. In December, Wilde said she was "happier than ever" after starting a relationship with former One Direction singer Harry Styles. Her latest film, the psychological thriller Don't Worry Darling, starring Styles and actress Florence Pugh, is due out in September.

Sudeikis recently filmed in South West London, completing the third comedy series on Apple TV + Ted Lasso, in which he plays an inexperienced but lovable football manager. A critical success, he received several awards for this role.
