Cristiano Ronaldo continues to play for the Champions League team while considering the enormous offer from Al-Nassr.
The Saudi club Al-Nassr has made Cristiano Ronaldo a contract offer, which if accepted would make him the highest-paid footballer in the world.
After leaving Manchester United, Ronaldo is a free agent and would be given a two-and-a-half-year contract worth an astounding £173 million each season.
With the agreement, the 37-year-old Portuguese striker would surpass Kylian Mbappe, Neymar, and Lionel Messi trio of Paris Saint-Germain as the highest-paid athlete in the world.
Currently at the World Cup, Ronaldo is deciding on his next move as he gets ready to face Switzerland in the quarterfinals on Tuesday.
Ronaldo is waiting to see if he can elicit offers from European teams in the midst of his quest to find a Champions League club while Al-Nassr is anticipating his reaction.
Ronaldo has been linked with moves to Atletico Madrid, Naples, and Sporting Lisbon in the past, but nothing has come to fruition.
As for Ronaldo, he did experience a reaction in Portugal after becoming enraged with his replacement during their 2-1 loss to South Korea on Friday.
Fernando Santos, the coach of Portugal, acknowledged that he "didn't particularly like" his captain's response but assured that all had been worked out. He did not, however, say if Ronaldo would start the match against Switzerland.
