Mohamed Salah becomes Liverpool's best goal scorer in the Premier League.

Mohamed Salah became Liverpool's all-time top scorer in the Premier League, bringing his total to 129 goals with a deuce in a stunning 7-0 victory over Manchester United.


The record was previously held by Robbie Fowler, who scored 128 goals throughout his two stints at the club between 1992–2001 and 2006–07. The Egyptian striker broke it by scoring twice in the second half. Moreover, Salah's two goals helped him keep up a streak of 12 goals in his last 12 matches against them. Moreover, the Egyptian striker has scored nine goals in his last five encounters against Manchester United.


Salah improved his great record against Liverpool, with 12 goals in his past 12 match appearances and nine in the last five games, with two second-half goals against hapless United in his 205th top-flight game.


Salah won the Golden Boot in his first season at Anfield after moving there from Roma before the 2017–2018 season. He scored 32 goals. Together with Sadio Mané and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, he won the accolade again the following year with 22 goals. 


He again shared the prize in the 2021–2022 season, but this time with Heung Min Son after both players scored 23 goals. By doing so, he joined Thierry Henry and Alan Shearer as the only players to win the Premier League Golden Boot three times each. He has scored 11 goals so far, which puts him fifth in the tournament in terms of scoring.
